As the invited summer intensive guest artists at Greenwich Dance Agency, I am pleased to be working with a great group of professionals as I transmit Trio A (1966) by Yvonne Rainer. This is the final and public event as part of my reDANCE project supported by Arts Council England.
I often forget the rigour this dance demands and also the ability of the dancing body to adapt, take on, engage and develop thinking through movement. I have seen this group embody the dance and been witness to some fascinating discussions about the legacy of our field, socio-economic conditions and creative practice.
